Employed and in poverty: ACS state data, 2013
The American Community Survey provides a table of poverty by employment status (B17005), and I thought it would be interesting to see if there was any regional variation in the percent of population both employed and below the poverty line. The map below shows the result. At the state level, there's clearly lower numbers in the Northeast, and higher numbers in the northwest and Sun Belt. Click on any state to see the actual rate.
